Program Information
The YWCA Lethbridge & District Neighourhood Play Program (NPP) provides quality programming to children aged six to twelve in various neighbourhoods & outdoor spaces throughout the city of Lethbridge. The program encourages “learning through play” by providing an environment for children to develop their social, physical, and cognitive skills through participation in various activities.
All of the locations are staffed by trained NPP Leaders, and attendees are supervised at all times during their visit.
We encourage parents or guardians to equip each attendee with weather-appropriate clothing, shoes, a hat/head covering, snacks, and a water bottle.
NPP is a no-preregistration, no-fee, drop-in program open to all families.
The program will run from Wednesday, July 2 to Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Adverse Weather - Heatwave Update
Please Note: In any case of excessive heat and/or inclement weather, YWCA and the Neighbourhood Play Program (NPP) leaders would like to advise parents that the program may be required to operate only for the mornings, or cancelled for the day, based on the predicted temperatures.
The YWCA and NPP take the health, wellbeing, and safety of all the children and staff very seriously, and in accordance with our policies, will make the decision each morning until the heatwave has ended.

Please Note: the Senator Buchanan Location will be closed for the remainder of the 2025 season. All attendees are invited to join the Legacy Park group!

DAILY SCHEDULE (Mon-Thurs)
Monday – Thursday
8:30 AM – Drop Off for All Locations
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM – NPP All Day Session
3:30 PM – Pick Up for All Locations
Noon Hour Supervision
The Neighbourhood Play Program does provide supervision from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.
- There is no extended care offered outside of the program hours.
- Due to the drop-in nature of the program, we recommend that an adult be home during the operation of the program in case your child decides/needs to leave early.
** NPP DOES NOT RUN ON STATUTORY HOLIDAYS **
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

To maintain the quality of our program, only children ages 6–12 may attend without a parent or guardian. Younger children are welcome to participate in our games, but only if a parent or guardian is present and supervising them at all times. We appreciate your help in following these age guidelines.

As this is an outdoor program, please ensure your child has weather appropriate clothing, a hat, running shoes, sunscreen, a personal water bottle as well as some snacks. Washrooms and water stations will be available.
